The funniest person in the world is the one who wants to build something without a bill. Anyone who wishes to build something must prepare to pay the bills associated with it. Nothing is without cost.
As a start-up or someone who aspires to start something for yourself whether a business or Non-profit organization, you need to prepare yourself to make huge sacrifices. These sacrifices may come in cash, time, services or in other kinds of formats. Anyone who has built something impactful went through this process and so will you hence you should prepare yourself for that.
SEBSpiration Summit 2024 was envisioned 2 years ago, planned from last year and project initiated in January 2024. The first thing I did was to prepare to pay the bills because I knew I was going to build something from scratch.
I decided not to stick to popular names used in most summits and conferences like “youth… empowerment…mentorship…, etc.” I chose to use a program name which was unfamiliar or unconventional but in my mind, I was legacy oriented which shouldn’t start 20 years later but right now into the future.
I knew what I was doing and had projected the end right from the beginning. Of course, I needed sponsors and aid but I also psyched my mind and heart to prepare to pay them all by myself in case none of such aids came up. This determination caused me to execute one of the most beautiful and inspirational events in Kumasi, Ghana. This kind of mindset is what proves that you are truly ready to build, my dearest start-up.
I am already excited at the growth this Year and the many more initiatives ahead. In fact, initiatives for 2025 have also been planned out already. That’s the level of my growth. I know what I am supposed to do from 2025-2035. My confidence for life is 99.9999%.
